Welcome!
I’m glad you’re here.
It used to be that I centered my writing on all things pets until I realized that to make a better world for pets we need to make a better world for people.
How do I know? Experience. I’m a mom of two kids who struggled through their teen years but found their footing and launched. In September, my husband and I will celebrate 35 years of marriage, negotiation, and love. I’ve owned two businesses. I’ve been employed. My free time is spent volunteering with others doing great things. Foster pet 51 sleeps on my mouse pad when I write.
The greatest lesson I have learned is that trust is what enables relationships to thrive across differences and to solve problems of seemingly insurmountable difficulty. How one achieves that pinnacle of trust is a factor of tender moments, tenacious effort, and the fine art of pivoting.
I write this weekly newsletter to amplify the parallels between people and pets, of the connected evolution that has enabled animals to be welcome in our lives. It is from those congruous places that we can see ourselves more deeply, to trust and to thrive.
I’m a believer in the power of humanity to solve problems and the value of story to inspire change. For that reason, my newsletter is free. It costs nothing but time to subscribe and to share. Please pass this along so others may benefit.
