It was an amazing feeling. The good and the bad is that he is still mostly planted in the carrier, so each time he comes out it feels victorious!

Beautiful story of healing and trust. He looks great in the videos, well groomed, affectionate and adventurous! Good work!

Thanks! It’s hard to say what he came in looking like as I never saw more than a balled up cat. His muscle tone is a bit floppy, but he does seem to be interested in playing. Snickers is definitely like an onion - one layer at a time.

You're doing a world of good for him, so heartwarming. I hope you'll post a progress report. Those tooth root infections are really difficult, so good to know he's on the mend from it.

This is simply beautiful Cindy. I love the patience and care that you are giving these cats.

What did I do to connect with my animals? Well, Twyla and I sometimes have a little love fest, where she will lie over my lap, or I will kneel near her while sleeping on the sofa. Then, I just start gently telling her that she is loved and a good girl and I list all the amazing things she does back to her. Just quietly and calmly while stroking her. She looks me directly in the face as I do so, with big soft eyes, and lets me know she might not understand all of the words but that she gets what I'm saying and loves me too. We stay like that for 20 or more minutes, just talking quietly and kindly for no other reason than it feels nice sometimes.

I appreciate the nod of support. We are still working on his confidence, but little by little we’ll get there.
